Roseburg, OR -to- Vancouver, WA -to- Tacoma, WA

We planned on arriving back in Tacoma on Sunday, but Friday when we got to Portland, OR, and then Vancouver, WA, the traffic was quite congested and it seemed too difficult to bother with trying to merge three lanes to the right to exit in Vancouver.  That's when we decided to just go all the way home to Tacoma.

We got home Friday night around 8:00pm (11:00pm for you East Coasters) and unloaded Sinclair in a few hours.  It was A LOT of trips - who knew we had so much stuff in such a small space? We parked it at the RV shop about 10 minutes down the road for maintenance about 11:15pm. We ate dinner at a local brewery before going back home and unpacking until 2:30am.  By then we'd had enough.

Since October 26, 2012 (126 days) we have been to 34 states, traveled 13,423 miles, used 2,094 gallons of gas (refueling at 52 different stations), and used 71 gallons of propane.  We've been to the southernmost point in the U.S., snorkeled on Christmas Day, and had breakfast in Maine in the middle of winter.  We've four-wheeled and hiked in Moab, UT, saw the majestic saguaro cactus up close in Phoenix, and battled snowstorms in Kansas and Salt Lake City.  And the great thing is that we haven't even hit 1/2 of our "to-do while RVing around the country list"....we still have to drive the Pacific Coast Highway, visit the Grand Canyon, race on the salt flats, see Mt. Rushmore, see the giant sequoias, etc.

We will be in Tacoma for about a month and then back out again for a couple of years.......full-timing it in Sinclair and whittling down that "to-do" list!

The site in Oregon was at an old drive-in movie theater

The truck stop

In Oregon (like New Jersey) it is against the law to pump your own gas.  So you get scenes like this; one guy operating 12 gas pumps.

Back into Washington, through Vancouver

Back at home.  The mountain is out (look closely).

Maxie's rooster and chickens have grown

The rooster and Maxie have a stare down contest....Maxie wins.  The rooster crows for Maxie as soon as Maxie leaves.  Maxie looks for him every time we pass the fence.  Did I mention the rooster is RIGHT across the street from our apartment - a special alarm clock for all of the residents.
