As new veterans of cold weather we have established procedures for living with the conveniences of life (running water, hot water, and heat). We now understand the nuances of heated hoses, insulating certain spaces, closing appropriate slides, the strategic opening of cabinets, placing heaters, draining lines at times, and when to do all such things. Schedules have been enacted and normal life resumes. We are in New Jersey just across from Philadelphia, PA, and 20 degrees almost seems warm.
