The Omak Stampede Suicide Race Grounds

Tinker testing the new floor - indirectly

The Omak Stampede is a big rodeo held in Omak, WA the second week in August...glad work didn't bring us here during that time.

"Yappy-Hour" and "Food Truck  Frenzy" at the Willamette Humane Society.  Tinker was nervous we were going to take her back to the pound.  She played in the "mellow and mild" dog park section.  We all headed home together once the rain started.

Sauvie Island Wildlife Area, OR

Getting ready for an overnight trip to Sauvie Island

Tinker navigating

"Turn left here."

The only bridge to the island

A view of the river from the rv spot

Giant Zucchini

Tinker meeting a pig.  Pigs are very intelligent, almost the same as a dolphin (read the sign anyway).

A farmer's market on the island

Onions grow half in the ground

The self pick scam.  One may pick their own produce at several places on the island.  The farmer's market costs a little less than the grocery store but this self pick cost almost twice as much as at the grocery store and the cucumbers weren't even attached to the vine.  They must have twice the labor cost, to pick cucumbers and then lay them out in the self pick sections so people can "pick there own" produce.

The rv site was right on the river.  Large boats pasted at seemingly reckless speeds

On the way home the tread (gater-tail) came off of the left front tire

We had a spare, a leveling jack, and a portable air pump

Tinker made it back home to her blanket of 1000 Chihuahuas

Oregon -to- Omaha, NE and back

We bought a new RV, a 2003, 30 foot, Rexhall built (USA made) American Clipper.   Tinker has been helping remodel the inside.  Here she is hard at work.  "Sofa testing."

Sunset from the balcony the night before the shakedown Clipper Cruise to Omaha.

Getting the boat ready for the seven day cruise.

Tinker found a bean-filled pillow.  After scolding us for "not listing it among our assets" she preceded to sleep test it.

Tinker "Big Dogging it" - she weighs 5 pounds.

The Gorge

The first day's sunset

Legally parked with the engine off and eating lunch in a truck stop parking lot - this guy said he thought he could fit.

Broke the back off of our mirror and pushed the mirror arm into the fiberglass body of the RV.  She could still float - so we progressed.

The largest bike rack in Nebraska, interesting...

Tinker likes to sleep in, after she goes for her 4am and 8am walks.

The Clipper in the lot under the interstate, by the Hilton Omaha

A miniature Einstein-Rosen bridge portal in the hotel lobby.   I couldn't find the control panel.

Our room was at the end of the hall.  The twins on the tricycles were kind of creepy.

Pedestrian bridge to Iowa.

Downtown Omaha from the Iowa side.

Potato taco and gas stop at the TA.

Point Perspective

A barn.
It has been featured a few times in past blog posts.

Begining of a purple sunset.

The Gorge

Mt Hood in the distance.

The Clipper tucked back in.  A good seven day run at 3,412 miles.
