| The self pick scam. One may pick their own produce at several places on the island. The farmer's market costs a little less than the grocery store but this self pick cost almost twice as much as at the grocery store and the cucumbers weren't even attached to the vine. They must have twice the labor cost, to pick cucumbers and then lay them out in the self pick sections so people can "pick there own" produce. |
