A moderate day of driving 499.7 miles, mostly interstate, starting at Shoshone Falls is ID, through the desert to the high desert (average about 4,000 feet) of NV, past Sparks & Reno NV, into the Sierra Nevada Mountains and stopping in Truckee, CA (about 5,955 feet) near Donner Pass - Kim started eating chicken again.
The expansive views of the open land cannot be captured to full effect on camera, it must be experienced.
