Moving to the second camp site.  We meet Kim there, so Maxie navigated.  He did pretty much the same thing his mom does.

Virginia -to- DC -to- Maryland

We were in Virginia for a little while and are now heading north for a few weeks.

The boys got a new ottoman.  Grandma and Grandpa took us to pick it up.

We were planning on visiting DC via metro.  Two stops in we decided to go back and see a movie instead.

Maxie barking a what he thinks is a alligator; it's actually a rock.  Still courageous.  

We arrived back at the beach tonight, a little after 7pm; it's weird.

New Bern, NC

New Bern, NC is surrounded by water - it has a lot of bridges.  They like bears and have populated the town with more bear statues than people.  It is also the birth place of Pepsi.  Max likes the weather and has enjoyed running around free.  Milenko likes running around but is not crazy about the cold.

Saint Augustine, FL -to- New Bern, NC

It took about 10 hrs (with two gas stops, and one rest stop) to drive the 561 miles.  The weather is cooling as we get closer to Virginia.  We should be back in Virginia Beach by 7pm tomorrow, depending on traffic.

A sign said "Leaving Key Largo, back to reality."  We are leaving the Keys and the 80 degree days.  We're in Saint Augustine tonight and on to North Carolina tomorrow afternoon.
